Some of these families have been livinig in their emergency accomodation for over 3 years – never leaving Dublin, never being on a train, or never stepping foot on a sandy beach until…
From my amazing team at Little Fitness, to the kindness of Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail and of course Liquid Therapy who so generiously welcomed us into their surfing lives, this video is a testiment of what is possible when two social enterprises collaborate together.
This experience is a reflection of genuine kindness and love, and with the help of Renée Mackey, I’m delighted that we were able to capture it on video for all involved.
Special thanks to The Giving Circle of Ireland and the unwavering support from NEIC Dublin for making this dream a reality.
With close to 5,000 children in emergency accommodation in July 2025, support for Little Fitness & Liquid Therapy is beyond needed. John Logue, CEO of Social Enterprise Republic of Ireland, said during the SERI Summit – “What’s needed now is that sense of urgency, that sense of coordination and most importantly that shared belief that social enterprises deserve better”.
